Exeter Borstal, Exeter, Devon

Between about 1946 and 1969, a Borstal Institution for young female offenders was housed in the former women's wing of Exeter Prison, on New North Road, Exeter. It was given the role of recall centre for those who broke the conditions of their being released on licence.
