Borstal Institution, Holloway, London
In January 1924, Ward F of London's Holloway Prison, was licensed as a Borstal Institution. It was used as a Borstal Recall Centre, accommodating girls who had been trained at Aylesbury Borstal, but who, after being released on licence, had had their licences revoked for misconduct.
It continued in this role until 1983 when Borstals were replaced by Youth Custody Centres.
