Borough Bridewell, Maldon, Essex

A Borough Bridewell, or House of Correction, was established in Maldon by 1676, when the Corporation voted that a house in the parish of St Mary be acquired for the purpose. New premises were erected in 1737-8 on London Road, Maldon.
